In difference to the section titled 'Council’s website' on the Privacy Policy link, the following shall apply:
Council’s eTendering Portal website
Council does not:
- have access to credit card details used to make online payments. (All online payments are handled by Council’s banking provider whose website is not managed or maintained by Council. The agreement with Council’s banking provider, in common with other Council contractors, imposes obligations in relation to confidentiality and privacy);
- take responsibility for protecting users’ privacy rights in relation to external websites accessed via links on Council's eTendering Portal website.
Council does:
- collect automatically recorded information from users on the eTendering Portal website, on users that have registered for a tender and documents downloaded, and users that have uploaded a tender submission. To ensure integrity in the tender process, uploaded tender submissions and attrachments remain locked from viewing by Council until the advertised closing date and time of that tender has passed. Only then can authorised officers of Council unlock and record those submissions received by the advertised closing date and time.
Whilst Council’s eTendering Portal website has the facility to allow for the secure transmission of information, users should still be aware of the potential risks of sending personal or sensitive information via the Internet.
